Beschreibung des Angebots

Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) is a postgraduate course offered by universities and corresponds to at least 10 ECTS credits. This CAS requires 19 ECTS credits.

The Course in International Banking, Finance and Insurance Law offers an advanced education in national and international financial markets.

Module 1: Institutional framework conditions for banks, investment services and insurance

  • FSB, BIS, IMF and related institutions
  • Principles of banking regulation and the insurance regulation
  • Insurance supervision and securities regulation
  • Principles of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism
  • SNB and FINMA
  • International administrative and legal assistance
  • Financial markets (CH / international)

Module 2: Market participants, products and distribution

  • Consumer and data protection
  • Bank and insurance contracts and transactions
  • Investment funds
  • Stock exchanges and securities trading
  • Financial market criminal law, takeover law
  • Case Studies

Aufbau der Ausbildung

An ECTS credit corresponds to a workload of around 25 - 30 hours.

Zulassung

The Course is intended for lawyers and attorneys-at-law who wish to gain an in-depth knowledge in this field for their professional careers.

Including costs for course materials, examination fees as well as a block seminar.
