Beschreibung des Angebots
Le Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) est une formation postgrade donnée par les hautes écoles et elle équivaut à au moins 10 crédits ECTS. Le CAS in Nature-Positive Economy équivaut à 15 crédits ECTS.
Objectives
- Understand sustainability challenges and solutions based on a solid command of the concepts, tools and theories, as well as the socio-political dynamics behind the shift to a nature-positive economy
- Participate in exclusive encounters with relevant actors of International Geneva and engage in multi-stakeholder dialogues, group challenges and interactive sessions with internal and external experts
- Develop policy solutions and practical action plans to address major and looming ecological and sustainability challenges
- Master the multifaceted dimensions of shifting toward a nature-based economy to protect and promote planetary health and shared prosperity
Aufbau der Ausbildung
1 Crédit ECTS correspond à environ 25-30 heures de travail.
Programme
Module 1: Nature-Positive Economic Transformation
Command the fundamentals: concepts, theories, tools and metrics in harnessing nature for sustainable futures
- Address the challenges: global and local governance, market incentives and regulation, environmental and climate diplomacy, preventive and remedial policy-making, risks and opportunities associated with the commodification of nature
- Lead in sustainability: contextualised to the specific realities encountered in industrialised and developing countries, democracies and autocracies
Module 2: Sustainable Production and Consumption
- Deep dive into specific areas including food systems, water, energy transition, natural resources including critical metals and minerals, habitat and transportation
- Develop action plans to limit the environmental impact of producing and consuming goods and services
- Fast-track the transition to a nature-positive economy
Module 3: Nature-Positive Trade and Finance
- Leverage trade and finance to sustain the transformation toward a nature-positive economy
- Address environmental and social externalities of current trade and finance policies and practices
- Integrate responsible finance and innovative financial models, such as disaster-risks insurance and securities, blended finance and advanced market commitments
Module 4: Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Futures
- Explore the potential and applicability of technology and innovation to tackle the triple crisis of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss
- Craft an action plan leveraging technology and innovation toward sustainable prosperity

Entry requirements
- Selection is primarily based on the candidate's professional experience and motivation
- A bachelor's degree is required, or a degree/diploma deemed to be equivalent (no particular discipline required)
- A minimum of five years of full-time work
- Proficiency in English is required
