The "CAS Mastering Today's Anti-Corruption Challenges" offers an interdisciplinary and up-to-date view of the topic of corruption. It provides a comprehensive overview of key terms, current concepts and the main manifestations of corruption – from the well-known phenomenon of bribery to more complex forms such as political corruption or state capture. These phenomena are examined in the context of current global challenges, such as measures to combat climate change, increasing social polarisation or geopolitical upheavals that could pose threats to global security and democratic societies.

Participants will analyse effects and risks of various forms of corruption for politics, society and organisations. They will learn about traditional instruments of preventing and combating corruption – such as laws or company guidelines – in terms of their functions, effects and limitations using specific examples. In addition, participants will discuss new approaches and directions in anti-corruption and develop practical applications.

The content of the programme takes into account the current state of research, teaching and application.
