Beschreibung des Angebots
The programme provides extensive insights into the basics of Hepatology by studying the physiological and pathophysiological of liver function in health and disease.
The aim is to convey the complexity of the various aspects of Hepatology with its theoretical background and practical examples. Lessons will be given within the first weeks of each module by the faculty members. At the end of each module, an oral or written performance review is conducted.
Scope: 15 ECTS
Learning objectives
The programme is aimed at improving the knowledge of the participants regarding the most relevant aspects of hepatology, both from a basic/translational and from a clinical standpoint. It will provide relevant insights into the basic, translational and clinical aspects of hepatology by addressing the physiological and pathophysiological bases of liver function in health and disease.

- Drugs and Liver metabolism
- Fibrosis, Cirrhosis and Vascular Liver Diseases
- Advanced Liver Disease
- Liver Transplantation and Liver Cancer
Voraussetzungen
Zulassung
A master degree or equivalent in medecine or natural science is required.
The courses are limited to a maximum of 3 persons per year.
Target audience
Graduates from natural and/or medical science interested in focusing on basic and/or clinical hepatology research will be trained and educated in several aspects of liver research and hepatology practice.
