International and European Business

Das Masterstudium in International and European Business konzentriert sich auf internationales Management und europäische Geschäftstätigkeit. Es vermittelt Methoden, Konzepte und Werkzeuge für das Management internationaler Unternehmen. Studierende entwickeln interkulturelles Bewusstsein und Sozialkompetenzen, um in internationalen Managementteams erfolgreich zu arbeiten. Das Programm bietet Kurse in Strategie, Marketing, Finanzen und Personalwesen. Es umfasst Vorlesungen, Gruppenarbeit und Fallstudien in interkulturellen Teams. Unternehmensexkursionen und Besuche von Führungskräften multinationaler Unternehmen und internationaler Organisationen sind ebenfalls Teil des Programms. Ein Doppeldiplom ist möglich, indem ein Studienjahr in Freiburg und ein weiteres in Strassburg oder Pavia absolviert wird. Der Fokus liegt auf den Besonderheiten in West- und Osteuropa, den Hauptzielregionen vieler Unternehmen in Europa und der Schweiz. Geschäftsmöglichkeiten in anderen Regionen, wie Schwellenländern, werden ebenfalls behandelt.

Proof of sufficiant English language skills may be required by the Office for Admissions, depending on the curriculum of the candidate.

For the holders of a Bachelor degree in Management from a Swiss university: Unconditional Admission.

For the holders of a Bachelor degree in another field of study or from a foreign university:
Admission based on application file: each application is analysed. In case of a possible eligibility, the Admissions Delegate of the SES Faculty, in consultation with the Department of Management, may require the acquisition of supplemental skills and knowledge.
Application file: in addition to the documents required by the Office of Admissions of the University of Fribourg, the application file must contain:
- a letter of motivation and knowledge
- a GMAT test result for the holders of a foreign Bachelor degree from outside the EU or the EFTA.

The 60 ECTS Minor in Management of the SES Faculty, or recognised as equivalent, is required.

For the holders of a "Bachelor HES" in Management, candidates may be admitted to the master with a complementary programme of 30 ECTS.

In any particular case (e.g. foreign degrees and bachelor degrees older than 8 years), the candidate is not automatically admitted to the Master in International and European Business. The Admissions Delegate reserves the decision of admission on file.
